| The objective of the year 2012 were to spare awareness about effective local governance, environmental damages and lobbies for respective legislation. In that sense Shehri works towards improving a civil society in Karachi and in the Sindh Province. The organization has submitted viable concepts for legislative reforms and for the enforcement of existing legal norms to protect civil rights of individual groups, especially children, women and minorities. They actively lobby for these, both among the general public and political decision-makers in the field of
